Canadian Education
Education system of Canada combines two types of system of education – first one is British or American system of education and second type is French system. The second type is presented in the province of Quebec.
Canada is a big country, which consists of provinces. At every province, there are certain peculiarities. As for general information, at almost al provinces education is obligatory until the age if sixteen. Then students have the right to choose their path of life.
Educational system of Canada consists of three levels – primary, secondary and post-graduate education. The last level is presented by universities and colleges. They can be either private or public. As for universities, they have the right to give degrees to students such as Bachelor degree, Master degree and PhD degree. As for colleges, they are usually of vocational training character and can give your certificate or Associate degree. As for higher education in Quebec, it has its own peculiarities.
Such thing as private university in Canada causes doubts and hesitations in people. They cannot decide which variant is better. From other side they are familiar with traditional public universities but from other side they compare their private universities with private universities of its neighbor country – the USA. There private universities demonstrate the high educational standards. Canadian people also want that their private universities become similar to them.
