The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC)
The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) is association, which joins all the outstanding colleges all together. It provides the great number of services, which are very helpful to all the students. The following services are provided by AUCC: advocacy, public policy, research and information sharing, communications, international programs and scholarships.
Besides, inside its competence is to decide whether this or that university is worth being accredited or not.
There are a number of publications within The Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada: Trends in Higher Education, University Affairs magazine, Momentum (university research), the Directory of Canadian Universities, UniWorld magazine, University Telephone Directory.
One of the most prominent aims of the AUCC is to supply the higher education with the government support and funding.
Moreover, AUCC tries to make the relations within the graduators and employees strong. The situation with the graduators is as follows: the number of graduators is much more bigger than the number of those graduators who managed to find a workplace. That is why AUCC is trying to bring these figures in norm.
