Royal Military College of Canada (RMC)

Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) is the military academy of the Forces of Canada and it is situated in Point Frederic, peninsula in Kingston.

Cadets are trained in the following branches: academics, military, athletics, and bilingualism (French and English). The main goal of RMC is to train the best cadets in order to replenish Forces of Canada with perfect staff.

The education is free of charge and is presented into two main ways in a traditional way of the full-time education and in the way of distance learning.  The education is provided on both languages English and French, which gives the opportunity to be educated there at the native language.

RMC provides to its students 20 undergraduate degrees, and 34 graduate degrees, comprising 14 doctorates. Moreover, there exists the Division of Continuing Studies, which provides the program of OPME, which stands for “Officer Professional Military Education Program”.

In addition to it, it should be said that Royal Military College of Canada was the first place where professional engineers were trained. The following specialties are presented within the department of engineering: Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Engineering (Hardware or Software streams), Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.
